The DMT R1 Summer shoes are a top-of-the-range model and have been used by professional cyclists who fully trust the Italian brand for their competitions. The upper of these shoes is made of heat-welded mesh to a polyurethane layer with three mesh zones on the inside of the foot for complete ventilation. A one-piece tongue extends from the toe of the shoe with large openings for improved airflow. The two included Boa IP1 closures provide excellent foot support. The interior of the DMT R1 Summer shoes features foam padding with anti-slip micro-injections in the heel area to prevent the foot from moving inside the shoe while pedaling. It also includes a polypropylene insole that aids foot perspiration. Finally, it's worth noting that the sole is made with the innovative UD FAW150 carbon fiber, which offers extreme rigidity—comparable to steel—and also has thermo-stability properties. The front area incorporates small 5mm diameter holes that aid foot perspiration, especially on hot days.
